Classical and Remote Recording
In the course of eleven seasons with the Eugene Symphony Orchestra, and nine with the Oregon Bach Festival, Bill has had the privilege of recording world class soloists (Yo-Yo Ma, Thomas Quasthoff, Alyssa Parks, Helen Huang, the Moscow Virtuosi, among others), and of working with some of the great living composers (Krzysztof Penderecki, John Corigliano, Oswaldo Golijov, John Adams) as well as internationally acclaimed conductors (Marin Alsop, Helmuth Rilling, Jeffrey Kahane).
His concert recordings have been syndicated for national NPR distribution, heard on NPR’s ‘Performance Today’, and are broadcast regularly on KWAX FM, Eugene
Recordings made with Don Harder of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation can be heard on a variety of Hanssler Classic releases.
The finest Schoeps, Neumann and AKG mics as well as Millenia pre-amps and Lexicon 480L reverbs are used for location orchestral, chamber music and choral recordings. Live to two track or multitrack digital formats are available.
